Good Afternoon, Friends!
I have been participating in The Arthritis Society’s Walk to Fight Arthritis for four years, this will be my fifth, and this year it is on MY BIRTHDAY! JUNE 5! YAY! I have also taken on the role of volunteer and co-captain for our team! It’s a lot of work but so worth it to be alongside such awesome arthritis ass kickers!
When I participated in my very first walk the only diagnosis I had was Rheumatoid Arthritis and I was still in a great deal of pain. It was raining that year and I barely was able to accomplish the 1km. Year 2 and 3 I was feeling much better and walked the full 5km! It was amazing! Last year I used my cane to walk the 1km again and this year I will be using my walker with a big smile on my face!
If you’re Canadian, please check out where TWTFA is in your city! If you can’t make it out to the walk, please consider donating (either monetarily or in great arthritis fighting vibes!) to the wonderful cause!
If the mood strikes you, here is my Donation Page and I am unbelievably grateful for your support!
Thank you so much!
